Physical measures in Long Covid treatment

Traditional procedures in physical medicine complement and expand the movement therapy options in Long Covid rehabilitation. They serve to stabilise and harmonise the vegetative nervous system and promote positive feelings about oneself as well as a general sense of well-being.

Traditional massages, heat treatments and various forms of electrical therapy can be used to relieve pain and loosen and strengthen thoracic muscles in patients with Long Covid-19 syndrome.

A wide range of physical measures are available as options in Long Covid rehabilitation:

Inhalation therapy in Long Covid treatment

Inhalation therapy is used in particular for patients with patients with an existing respiratory condition and long-term effects of Covid and serves to administer pharmacologically active substances in the form of aerosols in the respiratory tract. Inhalation with additives such as Mucosolvan, brine, Kamillan, Panthenol or a medication prescribed by a doctor can be used. Inhalation therapy for Long Covid aims to have a beneficial effect on pre-existing airway obstruction, to reduce inflammation and to improve the cleansing function of the airways (mucociliary clearance, cough).
